CLOSE TO 200 COOPERATING PARTNERS AT TINLAB

The ELTE-led National Laboratory for Social Innovation is developing strongly and its national and international network is continuously expanding, the National Laboratories Supervisory Board said in its 2024 assessment of the consortium’s work.

TINLAB’s main task is to support social innovators and social innovation activities, to promote social innovation and to contribute to the development of funding, legal and professional frameworks.

In addition to the founding institutions – ELTE, University of Miskolc, University of Pannon, Network for Regional Development Foundation, (HÁRFA) – the consortium currently has nearly 200 collaborating partners. The consortium’s wide range of activities – research projects, thematic forums, mentoring network, experimental development projects – involve partners from twenty-five countries, from Greece to the Netherlands and Lithuania. In addition to the EU countries, TINLAB is also linked to universities in the United States and the United Kingdom, for example, as well as to institutions that influence European policy on social innovation.

Among the national collaborations, higher education institutions (University of Debrecen, Eszterházy Károly Catholic University, Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church, Kodolányi János University, Ludovika University of Public Service, University of Pécs, Semmelweis University, Széchenyi István University, University of Szeged) and the centres of the HUN-REN Hungarian Research Network also play a key role. The work is also supported by ministries, local governments, NGOs, professional associations, public institutions and stakeholders. The National Research, Development and Innovation Office also welcomed the fact that the consortium is attracting more and more students and researchers.
